Sales / Marketing Associate - Grand Prairie, Texas

Fast-paced electrical equipment rental firm, located in Grand Prairie, TX, is looking for an energetic, motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow with our team of professionals as the company expands.


This position will be a dual role position with responsibilities on the sales side as well as marketing with the goal to develop business opportunities via both channels. You will be responsible for learning the sales and order fulfillment process as well as helping develop social media strategies.


Duties and Responsibilities

- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, assist existing and potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes, and new customer accounts, coordinate with Sales and Operations teams, and close sales

- Keep management informed by maintaining accurate customer and pipeline records

- Provide customers with product information and documentation as requested

- Work together with Management to develop social media strategies

- Editing text and photo submissions for social media

- Actively grow social media follower base

- Field and answer all questions that pertain to social media communications

- Assist with updates to the company website, creating blogs, emails and marketing materials as needed

- Other tasks and duties as assigned by management


Skills and Specifications

- Passion for selling and assisting customers

- Enthusiastic and self-starting approach

- Knowledge and experience of electricity, electrical contracting, and/or electrical test equipment a plus

- Must have thorough knowledge of the top social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram & Pinterest)

- Basic graphic design skills and working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator for creative content

- Understanding of marketing and branding principals

- Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills

- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, willingness and desire to learn and grow with the company

- Efficiently work under pressure and deadlines

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Should be outgoing and have outstanding effectual communication skills, both oral and written


Education and Qualifications

- Basic computer skills required

- Ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Exchange

- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management tools a plus

- Dependable transportation required


Compensation and Benefits

Salary $40,000 - $50,000 DOE

Operations Specialist - Little Ferry, New Jersey

Protec Equipment Resources, Inc. is a growing and dynamic company in the electrical/electronic test equipment rental industry. Headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, Protec is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to work in its office in Little Ferry, New Jersey. 


This position will be an hourly position, requiring 40+ hours per week (including occasional evenings and weekends as needed). Responsibilities of the position will include shipping, receiving, cleaning and testing of electrical test and measurement equipment; courier of packages to and from customer locations or shipping terminals; preparing and tracking internal and external work orders; warehouse organization and maintenance. These duties may change periodically based on the needs of the company. The successful candidate will possess basic computer skills and must be capable of lifting as much as 75 pounds. A basic knowledge of electricity is a plus.


Protec views its employees as extremely valuable in propelling the business to a dominant position within the electrical test equipment rental industry. As part of the Protec initial training process, successful job candidates will be required to travel to our headquarters in Grand Prairie (Dallas), Texas for a 2-3 week training and orientation period. This training will involve recognizing products in association with their applications as well as becoming familiar with the processes and procedures associated with the operations of the business. Mastering these areas of responsibility can lead to opportunities for advancement and higher earning potential.

Calibration Laboratory Technician (Electronics) - Grand Prairie, Texas

Protec Equipment Resources, Inc. is a growing and dynamic company engaged in the rental of test equipment to the electrical power industry. Headquartered in Grand Prairie, Texas, Protec is looking for an energetic, self-motivated person to fill the position of Calibration Laboratory Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing calibration, certification and verification of electronic test and measurement equipment.


The qualified individual must be able to:

  • Verify equipment accuracies by comparison to known standards
  • Adjust equipment as necessary to meet industry standards for accuracy and customer requirements.
  • Record and document calibration information within a controlled database
  • Follow documented processes to perform a combination of manual and automated calibrations utilizing automation software such as Fluke MetCal.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of proper adjustment procedures for test & measurement equipment and repair techniques.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently with little assistance.

  • Qualifications include:

  • A.S. Degree in a technical field or ASQ Calibration Technician Certification (CCT), or PMEL
  • Training and 5-10 years of experience
  • Knowledgeable in the use of calibration automation stations and in M&TE (measuring and test equipment) troubleshooting & repair methods and techniques.
